NASA just made a stunning discovery about how fracking fuels global warming – ThinkProgress

If enough Democratic presidential candidates make this a campaign issue it might just be enough to put an end to America’s growing oil productions from fracking.

Afterall, we are talking about NASA here.

If methane production from fracking isn’t curtailed, summer will get hotter, winter will get colder and human will have no place to hide from the wrath of the mother nature.

Well, with Trump in the WH and with many Republicans and Fox News viewers denying the study results and the connection between methane and the rise of global temperature, America will be responsible for another catastrophy just around the corner.

In 2009, America and American elites took the world for suckers and the world body didn’t do anything to punish the U.S. government.

This time around, shouldn’t something be done to make the guilty party pay and punish the guilty ones?

When you make less than you’ve been spending over the years, you can run up a huge bill on your credit cards, get loans from your local bankers, or cut back on spending.

The United States has been spending way beyond its means for the past several years. It has been doing all it can to borrow from whoever was willing to lend except cutting back on what needs to be cut the most: entitlements and welfare benefits.

But, to give credit where credit is due, we have to point out that the US has cut back on some programs such as NASA’s manned Space program about 18 months ago.

As you are aware, NASA’s mission under Obama has been changed from “Manned Expedition of Space” to, among others, “reach out to the Muslim world,” because it will help Islamic nations “feel good” about their scientific accomplishments. As you can image, reaching out to Arab nations won’t cost that much money because NASA will be able to afford a few meals of kabob with rice and bread. Furthermore, sending people to the space accomplished little except boasted the ego of the United States plus the prestige that came with it.

In case you are wondering, the unspoken reason for trashing NASA was “The United States is broke.” Besides, the US can hire Russians to do the dirty work, such as shuttling people back and forth from the International Space Station (ISS,) much cheaper too.

Well, there is a small problem though: the Russians aren’t that reliable when it comes to sending stuff into the space.

Over the last year, the Russians had several accidents with their space program and they lost five satellites, a mini-orbiter for Mars   from China before Thanksgiving and a cargo ship to ISS before Christmas.

It appears to me that the US space program is dying and the Space Station may be in danger of running out of supplies.

If Russia continues to have problem with their Soyuz rockets, China may be able to offer some assistance in the not too distant future because China has been testing their version of a Space Station over the past couple of years. Some progress has been made recently and a new, more ambitious space program has been plotted to 2016 even though China is far behind the US and Russia in space technology.

In the mean time, the International Space Station has to do with whatever it has until Russia sends out another cargo ship. Well, just pee into the space for now.

According to a reliable source from U. S. Congress,  NASA’s latest Mars Science Laboratory, Curiosity, has been redesigned at the last minute to accommodate a group of VIP riders.

Congress asked the redesign and ordered members of the Super Committee  to take the nine month ride to Mars. Their mission is to come up with a credible plan to slash the U.S. federal budget by $4.5 trillion in the next 10 years.

If they are successful, NASA will send another probe to pick them up.

NASA shutting down; China expands its space program October 2, 2010

Two news hit the wire on October 1, 2010.

  • Shuttle layoffs leave some workers adrift – CNN

  • China launches lunar probe – CNN

While the United States is shutting down its near-orbit space program sending thousands to the unemployment lines, China is stepping up its space program with an aggressive schedule.

In April 2010, in the midst of mounting national debt and record breaking federal deficits, Obama, the “100%-committed-to-the-mission-of-NASA-and-its-future” president, ditched the moon mission and replaced it with

  • A $3-billion research program for a new rocket that could carry astronauts to asteroids and Mars,

  • Relying on private initiatives to send people to the Space Station.

Then in July 2010, Obama gabe NASA a new directive and ordered the NASA chief Charles Bolden “to reach out to the Muslim world … to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math and engineering.”

In other words, the United States will cease future shuttle flights for the next several years and wait for the research program to come up with a new design for a rocket.

In the mean time, China and other countries, notably Japan and India, has stepped up its space and lunar program (中国探月 zhong1 guo2 tan4 yue4″) with a few accomplishments in recent years.

  • China in 2003 became the 3rd nation in the world to put a person in the orbit,
  • Chang’e-1 (嫦娥一号 “chang2 e2 yi1 hao4”) was lunched in 2007 and in 2009 hit the surface of the moon in a controlled crash after a 16-month mission,
  • In 2008, an astronaut conducted the first space walk by a Chinese,
  • Chang’e 2 (嫦娥二号 “chang2 e2 er4 hao4”) was lunched on October 1, 2010 and will reach the moon after 112 hours in flight. The purpose of the lunar probe is to test landing technology for Chang’e-3 and provide high-resolution photographs of the landing area.

Going forward, China has set the following goals for its space program:

  • Chang’e 3 is scheduled to land on the moon in 2012 to collect rock samples and bring them back to earth in 2017.
  • Lunch a probe to explore Mars in 2013 and another probe to explore Venus in 2015,
  • Send an astronaut to and back from the moon in 2005.

Of course, the United States has been there and has done that. But the bankruptcy of America will put a big dent on its space program and this is a perfect time for China and other nations to catch up.

By that time, 鹿死谁手 “lu4 si3 shui2 shou3” (Who kill the deer?) is yet to be determined.

Do you not see a “cold war” in space coming?

A few words about the legend of  嫦娥 “chang2 e2” is needed here. if you want the full story, check Wikipedia for details.

According to Chinese mythology, 嫦娥 is the moon goddess who lives on the moon along with a jade rabbit and a tree cutter who was ordered to cut down a tree if he wanted to leave the moon. However, the tree grows back instantly after each cut, essentially keeping him on the moon forever.

In an effort to remember her, Chinese has traditionally on the eighth full moon of the year set up an altar to worship her.

The lunar probes are named after her.

NASA administrator Charles Bolden was in Cairo, Egypt when he mentioned NASA’s bold adventure under the guidance of  Obama. He went to Cairo and tried to make Muslims feel good.

Was transferring NASA technologies to Muslim countries part of that “feel good” mission?

NASA is hiring new talents.

What, you don’t believe me?

Didn’t NASA’s budget got cut recently because the U.S. is no longer interested in walking on the moon anymore?

Didn’t Obama cut the Space Station project all together?

Didn’t Obama say that there is no more space shuttle flights?

Didn’t Obama eliminated Mars program all together?

For those of you who live near the Clear Lake City near Houston, do not let your heart be troubled because NASA is hiring.

Your jobs are safe. Your home values will not drop anymore.

Because Obama is sending NASA to boldly go where NASA has never gone before. With this new bold initiatives, NASA has tens of thousands of immediate openings in the following areas as we speak:

  • Elementary teachers
  • Politic Science Graduates
  • Arab language translators

At the request of Obama, NASA administrator Charles Bolden will carry out his primary mission in this new era which is appeasing to all Muslims in the world.

His primary objectives have changed by order of Obama from establishing a landbase on the moon and un-manned Mars program to the following:

  • Re-inspire children to want to get into science and math,
  • Expand our international relationships,

and the foremost objective is

  • Find a way to reach out to the Muslim world and engage much more with predominantly Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.

Don’t let your hearts be troubled by the cancellation of new rockets programs, the new spaceships and the Constellation program. With the cooperation of the Muslim countries, the United States will truly go where no NASA has ever dreamed to go before.

The new frontier is awaiting our top notch new NASA employees with skills in the areas of education, diplomatic  relationship and Arab language.

Please send in your resumes and join the new agency today.
