When prosperity trumps demands for democracy

http://flip.it/eBAqsb

In the U.S., democracy gave Americans Trump and white supremacy after Obama took the country to the extreme left. Bush Jr. invaded Afghanistan and Iraq to look for WMD. Clinton gave Americans a blue dress to remember.

Democracy split America right in the middle and left huge debt to be paid by future generations.

In Hong Kong, democracy gave the city a black eye, riots on the street, months of civil unrest and a doomed future.

Some people in Hong Kong took their anger to the street not because they don’t have freedom of expression.which they obviously do, but because their hopes for a better life were gone.

The problem was not a political one but an economic one. These protesters should blame the 2009 financial crisis started by the U.S. which gave the world unprecedented inequality, rising equity and real estate markets.

As the world watches with bewilderment and amusement, I couldn’t help but think aloud: how come Americans don’t care much about a candidate’s character and credentials when they choose their president?

Trump is such a habitual liar and a crook, yet he occupies the WH with tremendous power at his disposal.

It is insane to still put your faith in a democracy where approximately 80,000 votes won by Trump in three states gave him the power to control the lives of 340 million people in the United States and the wellbeing of so many people in the entire world.

Many people in the world died because of an incompetent Trump was elected as the president of America.

Well, the same can be said about Obama. Just ask thousands of immigrants who left their home and end up in Italy, France and Germany.

Left or right, make up your mind

Every four years, America elects a president and this guy for better or for worse determines which direction the country goes for the next four years. If he is re-elected, he has four more years to lead the country further down the same direction.

Obama, being black and one of the most liberal senators in the U.S. took America to the extreme left like no other president has ever done: gave away America’s leadership position in the world, adopted a leading from behind foreign policy, apologized for America’s past aggressions, downsized America’s military, pulled American troops from Afghanistan and Iraq, yielded to Iran, drew a red line in the sand and promptly humiliated himself, trashed Israel and Netanyahu, boosted America’s national debt, gave American’s auto companies billions of tax payers’s money, provided de facto amenesty for illegal immigrants, gave free birth control pills to women, promoted LBGT’s agendas and tried his hand on single payer health insurance policy.

Obama’s successes in accomplishing all these liberal agendas did exactly one thing for the United States: they paved the road for the rise of extreme conservatism and gave the White House to Trump.

Trump, with the support of his mostly blue-collar white followers, turned the left leaning liberal America completely upside down and dragged the country to the extreme right whether Americans liked it or not.

Trump, with less than 500 days in the office, wanted to build a wall to keep Mexicans and other illegal immigrants away, tried to stop Muslims from several countries from entering the U.S., boosted the budgets for the military, tried to repeal the Obamacare, cut taxes, bombed the hell out of Syria and a few other countries, started a trade war with many countries, wanted to get out of Iran deal, moved U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, got out of Paris agreement, discarded TPP, alienated every American allies, and threatened North Korea with a bigger nuke button.

America was a yoyo nation bouncing from extreme left to extreme right simply because a different person occupies that house in DC.

What crimes have American people committed on November 8, 2016 to deserve this kind of punishment?

And the worst of all this yoyoing in the name of democracy was that American people can’t stop this WH person from doing damages to the nation and they have no recourse for at least 2 years.

And what are looming from the dark alleys of Amerivan liberals now?

What else?

Move the yoyo nation to the extreme left of course.

Hello, people of the yoyo nation, do you feel dizzy, nausea and sick?

Do you want to puke? I have a bag for you.

Panic-stricken Trump awaits more bad news

http://flip.it/ozaQXD

Reading an article like this from Flipboard makes one wonder how could someone like Trump could ever be elected to the highest office in the United States of America.

The answer: a flawed democratic system like American’s can.

To make the matter worse, the herd mentality, disregarding candidates’ disqualifications for the job, ignorant of candidates’ lack of moral fiber and low turnouts on the part of American voters make American presidential election a laughing stock for the entire world.

And the collective gullibility of American voters make them easily fooled by unrealistic campaign promises time and time again. It appears that American voters have grown numb to candidates’ lies that they take the lying for granted because every politicians lie.

Consider these embarrassing facts of American elections:

  • Impeachment of Clinton,
  • The infamous hanging chads,
  • Supreme Court intervention,
  • Lies told by candidates,
  • Flaws in voter registration system,
  • Meandering of U.S. Congressional districts,
  • Influence of rich donors and PACs’ money,
  • Manipulation of issues by lobbyists,
  • Being able to vote without an ID,
  • Lack of recourse of the voters,
  • Low voter turnouts,
  • Utterly embarrassing fact of lack of qualification of Obama for the WH job,
  • No vetting of allegations of sexual harassment by Trump on as many as 20 women,
  • No vetting of hush money paid to a hooker on behalf of Trump,
  • Trump’s likely collusion with Russia,
  • Russia’s meddling of American’s 2016 presidential election, and
  • Fill the swamp while in the office.

Maybe America needs a formal vetting process by an election committee to weed out and disqualify unfit presidential candidates so that jokers won’t occupy 1600 Pennsylvania in Washington D.C. anymore.

Just like when Democrats were in charge after Obama was in the WH, the Republicans own all four branches of the government.

Democrates’s Reid and Pelosi used their majority positions and fuzzy math to pass the Obamacare with no input from the Republicans or the people.

Now, McConnell and Ryan take a page from Democrats’ playbook and fuzzy math to push the tax reform through the Congress without consultation from the Democrats and the people.

Sound familiar?

Yes.

And were the people informed on the deficits the bill will generate in the future?

Not just the next decade.

I want to know what’s going to happen in the next 20, 30 or 50 years.

The US calls this democracy but it can’t even convince American people to trust the products coming out of the failed process.

Totally absurd.

What else can you say? Blame democracy. Trump is a very bad and unfortunate product of American democracy.

Still better than having BJC & HRC in the WH though. Trump has money. He just lies because he can’t help it. BJ&HR remember their Little Rock days well. They are greedy. They would auction out every night of the Lincoln bedroom to the highest bidders.

W/o Trump, there is less entertainment and fewer dramas for the world to see. It also goes a long way to show the world just how bad American democracy can be.

A side benefit of Trump WH is that Trump and his tweets drag the U.S. down the drain which is good for the world. Best of all, there is absolutely not a damn thing American people can do before 2020.

Is it time to start asking the government of Kenya or Zimbabwe to organize an international observer team to over see American’s mid-term election next year?

Of course, that’s sachasm. But seriously, shouldn’t American tax payers start to demand government accountability by exposing crony capitalism, misuse of tax mony, corruptions, paybacks, revolving door on government agencies and other malfeasance.”

Look at the tactics utilized by America’s two major political parties: The Republican Party and the Democratic Party.

The Republican Party – cheats on election.

And can you believe that a U.S. presidential candidate openly asked a foreign country, Russia, to release his or her opponent’s emails?

The Democratic Party isn’t any better – it cheats on election too.

I diliked slick willie from day one and believed his enabler, Hillary, stuck to him for her own political gains. In that regard, I believed that Hillary was a calculating, shrew, harridan, dishonest and greedy politician.

So, was I surprised to hear this? Not at all.

In the end, the candidate with fewer popular votes became the president of the United States. Called it democracy if you like. Call it constitution if you like. Don’t you think the guy in the WH is in someway not that legitimate? Not that I prefer the other one. Believe me, I don’t. To me, any one is better than having Bill as the president again and Hillary as the vice president.

Then, consider the following highlights of American’s democracy’s achievements:

  • The rich donors get paid with access, government contracts, special projects and political paybacks after the election,
  • The special interest groups get to influence election outcome,
  • About 59.7% of eligible voters voted in 2016 presidential election, and
  • Just a little over 1/3, 36.4%, of eligible voters voted in 2014 midterm election, the lowest in 70 years,
  • The regular tax payers have little to say about the election outcome, and,
  • Once an incompetent person is in the HW or the Congress, regular tax payers have no recourse except wait for the same four years later.
