Time, according to Rovelli, doesn’t exist if human beings aren’t there to experience it.
Rovelli suggeststhat “what we experience as time’s passage is a mental process happening in the space between memory and anticipation.”
How do you like that for an explanation of “time”?

Troubled Times for Alternatives to Einstein’s Theory of Gravity
Interesting article about how alternative gravity theories to Einstein’s general relativity die because an event billions of light year away which has been predicted by theory has reached the earth and recorded by devices developed for that particular event.
Well, killing off old theories and replacing them with new ones is how science has worked in the past and it will be the way how science can stand up to the test of time in the future.
May be one of these days, human can travel at a speed close to the speed of light and boldly go where no one has gone before.
But, I doubt it that these future space travelers will ever meet any alien at all.

雖然是天書，讀起來還是很有意思。
有時候沒事，靜下來想想這個世界，這個宇宙， big bang 和 big bang 以前是怎麼來的也相當有趣。雖然這幾個問題在目前不可能有答案，偶爾看看天書，讓雜亂的心暫時遠離一下”柴米油鹽醬醋茶”和這個世界的亂像，讓腦筋轉一轉，動一動，心裏靜一靜對我的心身都有一點好處。
神，佛，菩薩，上蒼，天堂，地獄和輪迴是人編出來的，這是信仰的領域。這是幾千年以來人類受苦受難以後想出來的虛擬世界來安慰自己的。這跟人死了以後去那裏一樣，都沒有辦法經過科學的實驗來證實的。
我們這個神奇的宇宙是怎麼來的，在最近的將來也沒有辦法經過科學來證實。這就需要像 Einstien， Hawking 和 Hertog 這些聰明人來想辦法了。
