Empty malls in America November 27, 2017

More than 6,700 retail stores in the U.S. have closed their doors in 2017 since January 1st, a new record.

The previous record was 6,163 store closings in 2008 during the financial crisis.

I couldn’t help but think what’s going to  happen to those people who used to work for these stores?

Did anyone bother to tell them that the headline unemployment rate, u3, is 4.1% in the U.S.?

The all encompassing u6 unemployment rate is 7.9% for October 2017.
