When visiting Florida, one has to try Cuban sandwich. We picked The Floridian in Treasure Island, Florida.
It was a run-of-the-mill sandwich shop and, unless you pay attention while driving, you would ,missed it for sure. We came by because of good custom comments on Yelp. We like the crispy and crusty bread of the Floridian sandwich. The bean soup was very rich but the blue crab fried dough didn’t have blue crab; at least I didn’t taste any. The day we went to the shop was the beginning of the slow season. As a result, the business was very slow. The owner told me that they could take a break and get ready for the winter tourist season.
If you happen to come by here, I know it is kind of out-of-the-way from tourist hot spot, give it a try. The sandwich combo, sandwich and bean soup, was just $8.
